Coach PJ Bessette
We are excited to welcome back Head Coach PJ Bessette! Coach PJ brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to FNI. Currently, Coach PJ serves as the Head Coach for the Cranston West High School Varsity Softball team. Prior to his stint at Cranston West, PJ served as the Head Coach of 18u Red, most recently in 2022. PJ served in the role for 3 seasons with Coach Fons assisting him. In his time, with 18u Red several of his players went on to play in college. Two of those players are his twin daughters, Emily & MacKenzie. Coach PJ’s experience extends past FNI to the Cranston Ravens. A very successful program out of Cranston, RI that developed many future college athletes.
Coaches Emily and MacKenzie Bessette
Assisting Coach PJ will be his twin daughters, Emily and MacKenzie Bessette! After standout careers at Cranston West, Emily and MacKenzie are finishing their senior seasons at Plymouth State University. Emily is a 2-time captain at Plymouth State and MacKenzie is a 2-time 1st team All LEC award member. Both bring an immense understanding of and passion for the game of softball.
