Coach Ally Dantas
We are excited to welcome Head Coach Ally Dantas! Coach Dantas begins her 1st season as a Head Coach with FNI. Last season Coach Ally served a dual role as an assistant on both, 18u Red and 12u. After helping the 12u team, to a 40-win season it was clear she was the right person to lead 14u White. As an FNI alum, Ally was a 4-year member of the 18u Blue team under Coach Rob Traverse. Ally was a SS and leader for the Blue team before heading to UMass Dartmouth. Unfortunately, a shoulder injury forced her into coaching, but FNI is fortunate to have her back.
Coach Leanne DeMarco
Assisting Coach Ally is Leanne DeMarco. This will be Coach Leanne’s first year assisting with the 14U White team. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having coached both high school and travel softball for many years. Leanne played collegiate softball at Salve Regina University while earning her teaching degree. After graduating, she returned to her alma mater, La Salle Academy, where she coached for ten years. During that time, she had the opportunity to coach Mary Holt, now the head coach of Brown University’s women’s softball team. Since then, Leanne has coached travel teams at every level from 8U through 18U. She is excited to join the Fire N’ Ice organization. Outside of softball, Leanne serves as a middle school principal in Massachusetts and is a proud mom of three daughters who also play the game.
